Game 1 (player 3):
Ken Baldwin (Bridge) starts the first game nicely by sinking 4 Yellows. After potting his fifth the White goes in-off. Chris Harris, on Reds with two visits, first pots one of his opponent's balls and goes on to clear 6 of his own. Ken pots his last remaining Red and and leaves the White safe after moving the Black. Chris attempts to pot his remaining Yellow but misses and leaves the Black on. Ken pots the Black in a middle bag to win the first game of the match for the Bridge.
Game 2 (2):
Carl Fullard (Peacock) breaks but nothing goes down. M Wall pots 3 Reds with the White going in-off into a middle bag! Carl pots his first but snookers himself, he gets out of it with a very nice swerve shot. He continues until he rattles a Yellow leaving himself 3 on the table. M Wall pots one and tries to leave the White safe. Carl pulls out a long shot leaving himself two. He sinks them both and pots the Black to even the match.
Game 3 (5):
John Purcell (Bridge) breaks; nowt goes down. K Fullard pots a Red in a middle pocket. With his next visit John pots his first Yellow. K Fullard replies by potting his 2nd Red but fouls because the white goes in-off. “Two visits - free table”. John puts some nice shots together to clear all his remaining Yellows (6). He's on the Black and asks the Ref if he "still has two shots on the Black"? The Ref confirms he does. John uses his first to push the Black over the middle pocket!!! Slapping his head he realizes he'd just committed a foul. K Fullard, with 5 of his balls remaining, clears the table and, using two shots!, pots the Black. The Peacock are ahead for the first time in the match.
Game 4 (6):
Andy Croasdell (Peacock) breaks the pack. Dave Mutton pots 3 Reds. Andy pots his first Yellow. Dave pots his 4th Red (in-off one of his own!), he continues and pots a further 2 reds and finishes his visit with his last Red against a cushion. Andy plays safe. Dave opens up his Red. Andy produces a nice double and pots a further 2 Yellows then players for a snooker. Dave can only see an edge but with a long shot he manages to pot his remaining last Red. He goes on to win the game by sinking the Black into a middle bag.
Game 5 (1):
Rob Procter (Bridge) breaks well without potting a ball, "that was close" says his team mate Ken! With the balls open Steve Smith pots three Reds. Rob plays a safety shot, with all his 7 balls on the table. Steve sinks one of his and plays a safety as 2 of his remaining 3 Reds are tied up. The game becomes tactical, with both players trying to out do each other. Steve pots a Red via a cushion. Rob plays a nice shot; potting his first Yellow in-off 2 of his opponents Reds! Each player has another visit then. Steve plays a nice shot to pot a Red leaving a difficult cut into the middle for his last. He misses. During next 8 visits each sees 3 Yellows being potted, an attempt by Steve to pot his last Red and a handful of snookers by Rob. Steve doing well only to foul twice. With Rob at the table, after potting a Yellow, he tries for another snooker, is the Red on? With a fine cut Steve pots the Red into the middle and then sinks the Black. The Peacock are 3-2 up with only one more win to clinch the match.
Game 6 (4):
Tony Harris breaks for the Peacock, a Red goes down but no other red is on! He nominates Yellows but misses with his next shot. "Open table". Dave Jackson pots a Yellow with a plant. I thought you could only use your cue!? (Ed). With a fine cut he rattles his next attempt at potting a Yellow. The next 9 visits by each player sees 3 balls being potted and many safety shots, leaving 5 Reds & 4 Yellows on the table. Dave then pots his 4th Yellow and 5th with a fine shot past a Red over a corner pocket only to leave himself in a total snooker! He gets out of it with a shot via the length of the table and a cushion. Tony pots 3 Reds leaving 3 on. He tries a fine pot into the middle pocket only to see the Red bounce out off via a jaw. Dave players a very nice shot, cutting a Yellow into a middle pocket and moving his final ball, which was tight against the Black. He puts the Yellow down the same pocket and sinks the Black to bring the match even.
Game 7 - Doubles (7):
With a Red down for the Peacock, this deciding game turns cagey. Tony (Peacock), with a fine shot, pots a ball in the middle. He goes on to sink 2 others. Dave (the Bridge) using a nice 'bridging' shot, pots his first ball, he pots his 2nd but the 3rd would not follow. Steve (Peacock) tries a difficult cut-in that misses. Ken pots a 3rd Yellow for the Bridge and then plays a safety. Tony returns the favour. Dave tries a fine covering shot but the White goes in-off. With his first shot of his 1st visit, Steve (P) pots one of his opponents Yellows leaving 3 balls for himself and his opponents. He pots 2 of his Reds to leave his final ball against a cushion & sandwiched between two Yellows! Pushing it off the cushion into the open, he uses his second visit to pot it with a fine cut and putting himself on for the Black. Via another fine cut he pots the Black to win the game and match for the Peacock.

This was a great match to watch with a fine display of pool by both teams.
